Asian elegance

The historical importance of Dutch East-India with regard to its heir and successor, the Republic of Indonesia, deserves particular attention. The importance of Dutch East-India to Indonesia's socio-economic development, its empire building, its infra-structure, and so on, will be emphasized here in articles, pictures, photographs, maps. This site comes from the author's interest in Dutch colonial-historical remains in the Indonesian Archipelago.
